Argentina Affiliate Site Pushes National Gambling Framework

Affiliate site Estafa.info published a paid report calling for unified national gambling regulation in Argentina, despite ranking mostly unlicensed operators as its "safest" recommendations.

Affiliate website Estafa.info released a sponsored report through PR platform PlayNewswire calling for Argentina to adopt a unified national framework for regulating online gambling, replacing the country's current province-level licensing system. The site positions itself as a platform dedicated to protecting players from fraudulent iGaming operators, though it hosts affiliate links to more than 60 brands, only four of which hold a local Argentine license.

The site's list of the "safest online casinos in Argentina" includes operators 1xBet, MelBet, Brazino777, Granawin, Awintura, BetBox, Rabona, JugaBet, 1RedBet, and W88, none of which hold Argentine licenses, while licensed operators bet365, Betano, Betsson, and Codere were excluded from the ranking entirely.

The discrepancy between Estafa.info's stated mission of player protection and its promotion of predominantly unlicensed operators highlights a broader pattern of affiliate sites using consumer-protection branding to lend credibility while directing traffic toward brands operating outside local regulatory frameworks. The site's simultaneous advocacy for stricter national regulation, despite its own apparent conflict of interest, raises questions about the genuine intent behind the published report.
