Fire Breaks Out at Bitz Blackjack Table During Live Broadcast

A match dropped after a dealer lit a cigar reportedly ignited a nearby tray, with a fire extinguisher eventually used to put out the flames.

A fire broke out at a Bitz live blackjack table during a broadcast after a dealer lit a cigar and dropped a match into a tray beside him.

According to an account published by Tribuna on October 21, the tray caught fire and flames spread to the edge of the gaming table. People rushed into the camera frame and attempted to extinguish the blaze before bringing it under control with a fire extinguisher.

Attempts to Beat Out Flames Proved Unsuccessful

The reported sequence began with the dealer lighting his cigar at the table. After he discarded the match, the tray beside him ignited and the fire reached the playing surface.

People approaching the table initially tried to beat out the flames using a shirt and a broom. Those efforts failed to extinguish the fire, which was eventually put out using an extinguisher.

The available account does not establish the extent of any damage or whether anyone was injured. The precise date and location of the broadcast have also not been independently confirmed.

Bitz Says It Did Not Authorise the Fire

An indexed post from Bitz’s official English-language X account identifies the dealer as Prince and says the company neither knew about nor authorised his decision to set fire to the blackjack studio “for the purpose of content”. That description is the operator’s account of his intentions.

The statement adds a different explanation to the initial report, which described the episode as a cigar mishap. The available sources do not independently establish whether the ignition was accidental or deliberately planned.

Earlier Broadcasts Featured Provocative Sketches

The incident follows earlier reports about Bitz incorporating provocative performances into its live blackjack broadcasts.

In September, Tribuna described clips featuring staged sketches around the gaming table. A separate report that month documented a dealer presented as a Jeffrey Epstein lookalike.

Those earlier broadcasts provide context for the format, but do not establish whether the fire was part of an authorised production.
