Kalshi Users Aged 18-21 Trade $5.4B Since Start of 2026

Users of prediction market platform Kalshi aged 18 to 21 have executed approximately $5.4 billion in trades since the start of 2026, according to a report by SiGMA World.
Sports contracts and combined sports parlay bets accounted for roughly $3.9 billion of that total, representing approximately 72% of trading volume within this age group. Sports contracts and parlays make up around 80% of all trading activity on Kalshi across its entire user base. Kalshi's total platform trading volume since the start of the year has exceeded $173 billion, with users aged 18-21 accounting for approximately 3.14% of that overall volume.
The figures follow an earlier report showing Kalshi's total trading volume has grown to nearly three times that of rival platform Polymarket since the start of 2026. The scale of young adult trading activity, concentrated heavily in sports-related contracts, raises questions about the extent to which prediction markets are attracting users in an age range that has historically been a focus of consumer protection concerns in traditional sports betting markets.
