Roguelike Roulette Game Trust Your Gut Lands on Steam
James Whitfield

A Steam store page has appeared for Trust Your Gut, a roguelike game built around roulette mechanics from indie developer Mishleto and publisher Caspianborn Publishing. The game follows a character born unlucky whose life is bound to a rusted dieselpunk roulette machine, watched over by an on-screen host whose demands the character must fulfill to gain freedom.
Each in-game day, players place classic betting types adapted for a roulette wheel featuring five balls and a single combined payout, while working toward a set monetary quota; failing to meet it ends the run. Players can shift the odds in their favor using more than 150 rule-altering trinkets and 50 ball variants, along with artifacts that trigger multipliers. The game also allows players to sabotage the machine itself and obtain new balls at the cost of the character's health, potentially including their own eyes. The developer cited indie titles CloverPit, Balatro, and Buckshot Roulette as sources of inspiration. Release is planned for November 2026, with a demo already available on Steam holding a "positive" rating based on 46 user reviews.
The game adds to a growing wave of roguelike titles building core mechanics around gambling and chance systems, a format that has found strong traction on Steam by combining risk-reward decision-making with narrative and progression elements distinct from real-money wagering.
