Bookmaker DraftKings is using an AI model that predicts how players will respond to bonuses, identifying which customers will increase their betting activity and generate more revenue for the company after receiving promotional offers, according to a report by SportClan.
The model launched in 2023 and evaluates whether a given player's expected revenue will exceed DraftKings' cost of offering them a bonus. In 2025, the company told investors the analytics system helped increase margin on bonus-related bets by 13%. According to Citizens Bank estimates, DraftKings provided customers with approximately $3 billion in bonuses over the past year.
