Finnish police detained crypto casino Duel founder Ossi Ketola in Helsinki following an incident linked to a rally by far-right movement Sinimusta Liike, according to a report by Nettipokeri. In an interview with the outlet, Ketola said he attended the rally out of curiosity, though he acknowledged partially sharing some views held by the protesters. He and his group, with Ketola dressed as the character Freakbob, subsequently approached participants of an anti-fascist counter-demonstration, where he claimed the group was attacked.
Following the incident, Ketola's group fled the pursuing demonstrators by car, but police stopped the vehicle en route and detained five people for approximately two hours. In a livestream recorded from inside the vehicle, Ketola directed racist remarks toward representatives of the left-wing movement, stating that his group had done nothing illegal. According to Ketola, those detained had their documents checked and were released without formal questioning. He stated he intends to file a police report and is considering additional legal action against those he described as attackers.
The incident adds to a growing pattern of public controversy surrounding Ketola, whose behavior at high-profile public events has drawn scrutiny given his prominent role as founder of a major crypto casino brand.
