The Philippines' Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) published seven lists between August 8 and August 14 identifying Facebook influencers promoting illegal iGaming sites. The lists named 67 accounts with follower counts ranging from 6,000 to 10 million, linked to 48 unique domains.
The most frequently cited brands exploited the name of licensed provider JILI Games, appearing 18 times across variations including WhaleJL, SealJL, and ChatJL. Crypto casino Stake followed with 11 mentions across the flagged accounts. CICC did not specify further breakdowns of the remaining brands or domains named across the seven lists.
The publication of these lists reflects continued enforcement efforts by Philippine authorities against unlicensed gambling promotion on social media, where influencer marketing has become a common channel for directing local players to unregulated platforms. By naming both the accounts and the domains they promote, CICC appears to be building a public record intended to support further blocking or legal action, while also signaling to social media platforms and advertisers the scale of illegal gambling promotion occurring through influencer channels in the country.
