Stake Co-Founder Touts Kick's $325M Creator Payout Model

Ed Craven, co-founder of crypto casino Stake, published payment statistics for streaming platform Kick on his X profile, showing that subscription and in-platform currency Kicks turnover has reached $325 million since 2022, with 95% of that amount going to content creators.
According to Craven's estimate, creators generating the same turnover on other streaming platforms would have received between $100 million and $200 million less. He attributed the difference to Kick's revenue-sharing model, which he described as offering streamers 95% of relevant revenue, a structure he characterized as exclusive to the platform compared to competing services.
The figures highlight Kick's positioning in its ongoing competition with larger streaming platforms, where creator revenue share has become a central point of differentiation for attracting talent. Craven, whose Stake platform has previously faced scrutiny over its gambling-related sponsorships on Kick, used the data to reinforce the platform's value proposition to current and prospective streamers. Whether the reported payout figures influence further creator migration to Kick remains to be seen, though the comparison to industry-standard revenue splits underscores the scale of the gap Craven is highlighting between Kick and its competitors.
