Sportsbook provider BETBY has launched a new product called SlotBets, combining slot machine mechanics with outcomes determined by real match events. According to BETBY, after a player places a bet, a 15-second round begins, divided into three five-second segments, each capturing the most significant event that occurs during that window, such as a three-pointer, a missed shot, a foul, or no notable event at all. The three resulting events combine into a sequence, which pays out only if it matches a predefined winning combination table.
The first game in the lineup, SlotBasketball, includes a feature called Pause Bonus, which increases the multiplier on a collected combination whenever a stoppage occurs during the match. BETBY stated it is also developing esports versions of the format, including eSlotSoccer, eSlotCricket, eSlotHockey, and eSlotPingPong. No release timeline for these additional titles was disclosed.
The launch blends slot-style mechanics with live sports data, offering a hybrid product positioned between traditional in-play betting and slot game engagement. By tying payout outcomes to real match events rather than purely random number generation, SlotBets aims to give operators a differentiated engagement format that combines the fast-paced structure of slots with the authenticity of live sporting action.
