Malta Gaming Authority Launches Gaming Forward Annual Conference

The MGA will hold the first Gaming Forward conference in Malta on April 8, 2027, with a one-day programme covering regulation, technology, integrity and financial crime.

The Malta Gaming Authority has launched Gaming Forward, a new annual conference focused on regulation, technology and emerging issues affecting the gambling industry.

The first edition will take place on April 8, 2027 at The Xara Lodge in Rabat, Malta.

According to the regulator, participation in the one-day event will cost €50, approximately $56.

Registration is already open, although attendance will only be confirmed once payment has been completed because capacity is limited.

Regulation and Technology Lead the Agenda

Gaming Forward 2027 will focus on several of the issues currently shaping regulated gambling markets.

The programme will include discussions on changes in gambling regulation, emerging technologies and the development of gaming jurisdictions.

Integrity will also be a major topic, with sessions expected to address match-fixing and other threats to sporting competitions.

Financial crime will form another part of the agenda, reflecting the growing emphasis placed by regulators on anti-money laundering controls, payment monitoring and wider compliance obligations.

The MGA has not yet published a full list of speakers or detailed session schedule.

MGA Creates Its Own Annual Industry Event

The launch gives Malta's gambling regulator a dedicated recurring conference under its own brand.

Malta remains one of Europe's most established iGaming jurisdictions, with the MGA supervising operators and suppliers active across multiple international markets.

A regulator-led event gives the authority a platform to discuss policy changes directly with licensed companies, advisers and other industry stakeholders.

The format also places regulatory policy alongside technology and market development rather than treating compliance as a standalone subject.

The MGA says Gaming Forward will become an annual event.

Registration Open but Payment Link to Follow

Interested participants can already register for the conference.

However, the MGA says places are limited and a registration will not be considered confirmed until the €50 participation fee has been paid.

The payment link has not yet been published and will be provided at a later stage.

That means early registration currently records interest rather than guaranteeing admission.

Further details on speakers, sessions and the payment process are expected as the April 2027 event approaches.
