Novig Valuation Reaches $2 Billion After Sydney Sweeney Campaign

The sports-focused prediction market has quadrupled its reported valuation since February as trading volumes and brand visibility increased during the opening weeks of the NFL season.

Prediction market platform Novig has reached a reported valuation of $2 billion in its latest funding round, four times the $500 million valuation attached to the company earlier in 2026.

Novig raised $75 million in February at the previous valuation. The latest financing follows a period of rapid expansion for the sports-focused platform, including wider US availability and a high-profile advertising campaign featuring actress Sydney Sweeney.

Sweeney also received an undisclosed equity stake in Novig as part of her involvement with the company.

Sydney Sweeney Campaign Increased Novig Visibility

Novig launched its campaign with Sweeney ahead of the new NFL season, putting the actress at the centre of its push for mainstream recognition.

The promotion generated substantial online attention and expanded awareness of Novig beyond audiences already familiar with prediction markets.

The campaign coincided with a period of rapid growth in activity on the platform, although the advertising alone cannot be treated as the cause of the higher valuation. Novig has also expanded its regulatory footprint, user base and trading volumes.

Sweeney's equity stake means she could benefit directly from increases in the company's valuation, although neither the size of her holding nor its current value has been disclosed.

NFL Trading Volume Reaches $1.14 Billion

Novig currently operates in 47 US states.

Since the NFL season began on September 9, the platform has processed approximately $1.14 billion in notional trading volume.

That placed Novig sixth among 11 prediction market operators measured by trading volume during the period.

Notional volume represents the value of contracts traded rather than company revenue, so the figure should not be interpreted as gambling GGR or money retained by Novig.

The company says more than 250,000 traders have registered on the platform, while cumulative trading volume has exceeded $6.5 billion.

Novig concentrates primarily on sports markets, differentiating it from larger prediction platforms that also offer contracts linked to politics, economics and other events.

Valuation Quadruples From February

The reported $2 billion valuation represents a fourfold increase from the $500 million figure attached to Novig's February funding round.

The change reflects growing investor interest in prediction markets as platforms compete for sports trading activity in the US.

Novig remains considerably smaller by valuation than the sector's largest companies.

Kalshi has been valued at approximately $40 billion, while Polymarket's valuation has been reported at around $21 billion.

Those figures underline both the scale of investor interest across the prediction market sector and the gap that remains between Novig and its largest competitors.

For Novig, the combination of wider distribution, growing trading activity and the Sydney Sweeney campaign has provided substantially greater visibility heading into the 2026 NFL season.

The company's next challenge will be converting that attention and trading growth into a durable position in a prediction market sector attracting increasingly large amounts of capital and competition.
