Sydney Sweeney Stars in Provocative Novig Prediction Market Ad
Michael Ashworth

Actress Sydney Sweeney appeared in a provocative promotional video for prediction market platform Novig, also serving as creative director for the campaign, which centers on the concept of Novig's exclusive focus on sports-related predictions.
In the video, Sweeney appears with various pieces of sports equipment, stating that Novig is only about sports, which is why they wanted to show only sports. Sweeney also became a strategic partner in Novig and received an equity stake in the company. According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the actress approached Novig herself after researching prediction markets while looking for investment opportunities, and she will now participate in both promoting and helping develop the platform going forward.
Novig launched in the United States in August, combining mechanics resembling financial exchanges with prediction markets covering football, baseball, hockey, tennis, and other sports. The promotional video, released on September 9, had surpassed 4.8 million views on Novig's X profile and more than 17 million views on Sweeney's personal Instagram page as of this report's publication, reflecting the strong reach a celebrity-led campaign can generate for a newly launched prediction market platform.
