Steam Lists Lottery-Themed Clicker Game Picky Numbers
Sarah Connor

A Steam store page has appeared for Picky Numbers, a clicker game built around lottery mechanics from indie studio Sunbeam Studio. The game follows a character living in poverty who works as a hotel porter in a cramped booth, handing keys to wealthy guests while watching lottery draws on an old television and playing along himself.
Players select numbers on purchased tickets and wait as the drum in the in-game broadcast draws numbers one by one, with payouts increasing based on the number of matches and a full match triggering the jackpot. The game features five lottery types, ranging from a basic Fifty Fifty ticket priced at $1 to the High Five tier at $50,000 with a $2 million jackpot, the latter unlocking as players progress (all amounts in in-game currency). Each lottery type carries its own risk and payout balance. Winnings must be reinvested into upgrades that increase lottery profits, add tickets, and boost win chances, while a separate skill tree requires its own in-game currency to develop. No release date has been announced, though a demo version is currently available on Steam.
The release adds to a growing category of games that gamify lottery and gambling-adjacent mechanics within a narrative or clicker framework, a format that has found a niche audience on Steam by combining incremental progression systems with recognizable real-world betting structures, without involving real-money wagering.
