Bookmaker DraftKings, in collaboration with sports media outlet Barstool Sports, released a parody of Novig's viral prediction market advertisement featuring Sydney Sweeney, according to a post on Barstool Sports' X profile. Rather than the Hollywood actress, the parody features a mustachioed man in underwear replicating the original ad's key scenes and poses.
The parody mirrors several recognizable elements from the original, including the character posing with sports balls and appearing in athletic gear, closely following the visual sequence of Novig's ad. The video closes with the tagline "In partnership with DraftKings Sports."
The original Novig advertisement featuring Sweeney launched on September 9 and generated tens of millions of views, quickly spawning multiple parody responses across the industry, including one from bookmaker Pari. DraftKings' version, released September 13, had already gathered more than 2.5 million views on X shortly after posting, reflecting the rapid spread of reactive marketing content built around Novig's original viral campaign.
